Flood-related insurance claims in Canada are estimated to be $140 million per year4. Early notification can prevent or reduce the effects of flood-related damage.     How Does Monitoring Work?

    Your Safe Home Security system constantly monitors the various sensors in your home or business for activity. The system activates when:

    1. an alarm is triggered because either:
      • a sensor was activated (for example, a door was opened, or smoke was detected)
      • a button was pressed
    2. a signal is instantly transmitted directly to ADT’s Emergency Response Centre
    3. a fully trained person calls you first
    4. if no answer, depending on what sensor was activated, your local police, fire department or ambulance is immediately dispatched

    What If I Move?

    If you move during the term of your contract, you are entitled to a “free” re-install meaning that another, similar system can be installed in your new location – anywhere in Canada.
